What's included in your cover

Annual boiler service

Perhaps the most attractive aspect of Warranty Care is that it includes an annual service. Having your boiler inspected by a Gas Safe engineer on a yearly basis is crucial to both safety and the validity of the manufacturer’s warranty. When you book your annual boiler service, one of our friendly engineers will visit your property at a time that suits you to carry out the following:

  • A visual check of your boiler
  • Testing of your boiler to identify any working faults
  • A flue gas analysis efficiency test
  • Inspection of your boiler’s internal components
  • Checking that the flue and ventilation are in accordance with the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulation
  • Cleaning the condensate trap
  • A boiler service certificate

Booking an annual boiler service is very important. Whilst the engineer checks that the boiler is performing as efficiently as possible and nips any problems in the bud, they also ensure that there are no existing or potential dangers, such as the leaking of deadly carbon monoxide.

Central heating

Whilst your boiler generates heat, it’s the central heating system that delivers it throughout your home. Our Warranty Care covers your central heating system, including:

  • External thermostat and programmer
  • External central heating pump
  • Radiators and valves
  • Feed and expansion tank
  • Hot water tank
  • Pipes and fittings

What we don't cover

ProTech Warranty Care has some exemptions, which can instead be rectified by our boiler repair service. Here are the things that we don’t cover:

  • Faults that are pre-existing or due to system design or installation by another company
  • Underfloor heating and controls
  • Damage caused by weather or freezing
  • Damage caused by or arising from sludge, scale and other debris in the central heating system and related pipework (find out more about power flushing)
  • Damage arising as a result of disconnection from, re-connection to or interruption of the gas, electricity or water mains services to your home
  • Electrical “Terminal Ends” (for example, light bulbs, extractor fans, electric showers and domestic appliances)
  • Damage caused when your home is unoccupied for more than 30 days in a row
  • We do not cover landlords or guest houses/B&Bs
